Catafalque / Coffin

A catafalque is an attractive piece of furniture for the auditorium. Our catafalques not only save you a lot of time, but also the necessary muscle power and effort. Our catafalques are designed to meet the requirements of health and safety legislation. Heavy lifting is no longer necessary.

Our furniture is available in various colors and textures! For example, it can be made in the same texture as the floor. We use durable, flexible materials for this, giving the catafalque beautiful rounded corners. For extra strength at the edges, a steel profile is incorporated underneath.

A robust steel frame is mounted under the wooden casing, ensuring that it can hold up to 300 kg! The coffin furniture is equipped as standard with ball cups, electric coffin locking, and electric wheel locking. The catafalque is also optionally available with a folding push bar!

Self-driving hearse

In addition to our standard catafalque, we also supply a "self-propelled catafalque." In some crematoria, it is possible for the catafalque to disappear behind a curtain or hatch at the end of the ceremony. This allows for a beautiful farewell to the deceased.

How does this work? The catafalque has the same functions as the standard version, but is additionally equipped with an electric motor (adjustable speed & silent), remote control, and stop sensor.

When the funeral director clicks the button on the remote control behind the desk, the catafalque will gently roll backwards. When the catafalque has rolled far enough, it will stop automatically thanks to the sensor mounted on it. This can be easily adjusted on site.
